Biography
Steven Salgado is a Peruvian-American award-winning actor, filmmaker, and the CEO & founder of Salgado Studios. Based in Miami, Florida, he continues to blend his passion for the arts with his expertise in audiovisual production through his work at the studio.
Born in Lima, Peru, in 1980, Steven began his artistic journey at the Museo de Arte de Lima (MALI) in 1994. He later studied clowning at Bola Roja (2006), theater at the National School of Drama (ENSAD) in 2008, and mime at The School of the Silence in 2010. In 2012, he relocated to Miami to further his career in the performing and cinematic arts.
In the United States, Steven has built a solid academic foundation in film and television. He is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in Film & TV Production at Asbury University. He also holds a Certificate in Film & Television Industry Essentials from New York University (2022), a B.A.S. in Film, Television & Digital Production (2021), and an A.S. in Film Production (2017), both from Miami Dade College.
Steven’s artistic work has garnered international recognition. He received a HOLA Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble Cast for the play The Orgy (New York, 2017). His short film Tango Dreams won several awards, including the Audience Award at FilmGate NOLA (Miami, 2017), Best Inspirational Short Film at the 15 Minutes of Fame Film Festival (West Palm Beach, 2017), and an Award of Commendation from Canada Shorts (Canada, 2017).
Through Salgado Studios, Steven continues to develop compelling film projects and audiovisual productions, committed to elevating visual storytelling and inspiring audiences worldwide.
